The recent discovery of exotic hadron candidates that challenge the conventional quark model requires novel ideas to better understand these intriguing phenomena at the boundary between nuclear and particle physics. Our school will cover both theoretical methods and experimental techniques, in particular related to the hadron physics programs of LHC, JLab, BESIII, Belle(II), and FAIR. This two-week program is jointly organized by the Exotic Hadrons Topical Collaboration (ExoHad) and the Joint Physics Analysis Center (JPAC) and will be hosted at the Ruhr University Bochum (Germany).
The program will be led by a balanced team of senior and early-career researchers to ensure a rich and diverse learning environment.
Morning lectures will be followed by afternoon exercise sessions to emphasize practical applications and problem-solving.
In addition, seminars on new experimental results and diverse topics will be hosted to provide broader context.
Social activities will be organized throughout the school.
Every afternoon is dedicated to hands-on problem solution. The MTHS-Exercises webpage is used to host problems, and MTHS-Code hosts code snipets and notebooks referred to in the sheets.
