The ARIES-APEC workshop "Mitigation Approaches for Hadron Storage Rings and Synchrotrons" will be held on the dates 22/6-23/6-24/6, 29/6-30/6-1/7 in a safe VIRTUAL space.  The virtual workshop will give us the flexibility of planning the various sessions so as to reach the best conditions for a fruitful scientific exchange. The workshop will be held via Zoom, a tool that has proven robust for live meetings of up to hundreds of participants and allows for easy slide presentations.
 
This ARIES workshop addresses the mitigations of the mechanisms leading to beam degradation in hadron rings. It will review the state of the art of relevant techniques and the present understanding of underlying dynamics. We plan to compile and issue a summary report, co-authored by all participants.
 
Despite the present COVID-19 social restrictions, we are confident that we can profit from the powers of the digital era and that we will have, although constrained, anyhow an excellent forum for discussion.
