1st. FAIR Commissioning Workshop

The first FAIR Commissioning Workshop will focus on the general commissioning strategy and the integrated commissioning schedule, as well as the current status of preparations. All topics following the installation phase, from hardware commissioning to the first user beam operation, will be addressed in this workshop. This includes technical topics, process topics, personnel safety and machine protection. One key aspect is the detailed planning and resource requirements for the years 2025 and 2026.

The emphasis will be on the first stage of FAIR (Early Science) and thus on the high-energy beamline from the SIS18 to the Super-FRS target and on the Super-FRS itself. In addition, the commissioning of the SIS100 will be addressed.

The workshop is an internal FAIR/GSI event by invitation only. Selected external colleagues are invited.
