1st UPLIFT school on “Advanced Radiotherapy”

UPLIFT’s world-class training programme will commence with the first UPLIFT school on “Advanced Radiotherapy” at Centre de lutte contre le cancer Léon-Bérard, Lyon, France, between 16th and 22nd November 2025. With a line-up of leading radiotherapy expert speakers from industry, clinics, and research, the school will teach modern radiotherapy techniques to all UPLIFT doctoral candidates. Key topics will cover the modern radiotherapy workflow in photon (IMRT/VMAT) and particle (protons and heavy ions) treatment, such as treatment planning strategies, choice of immobilization equipment, and quality assurance. In addition, the event will cover transferable skills, such as equity and inclusion, good scientific practices, and project management. Networking events will create a lasting bond between participants.
