1st PhD Science Day @ GSI 2013

Europe/Berlin
Description
On August 26th 2013, Helmholtz-Juniors@GSI is going to organize 1st PhD Students' Science Day at GSI. As GSI hosts more than 150 PhD Students and having a dedicated day to Science is a step forward to bring all young researchers under one roof and have a look to various research and development work done by our own friends and colleagues from GSI. It is one of its kind in GSI and we would like to invite you all to participate and make it a great success. Motivation: The idea to have this PhD Student's Science Day at GSI is to mobilize and improve communication between the PhD Students working in different departments of GSI. This Science day will be organized with in conjunction with GSI Summer Student Program 2013. This will not only be a wonderful opportunity for PhD Students to understand and explore the rich scientific research domains within GSI but also help motivate young Summer Students to get information about the actual work and experience from PhD Students at this event. Event: PhD Student's Science Day at GSI 2013 will be a Poster session. This event is open to all PhD Students in GSI. You can participate actively by sending us the your Poster that you could make or already have it (which you may have presented this year in a Conference or Workshop). We are looking for as many contributions as we can have and would like to have at least two Poster from each Research Departments in GSI. Those Student who still wants to participate actively and to share their work with us can send their Posters (in .pdf or .ppt or .pptx) to Pradeep Ghosh(Pr.Ghosh@gsi.de). Deadline to send in your entries in 23rd August 2013(untill 17:00 hrs). Organizers: Pradeep Ghosh (Helmholtz-Juniors at GSI) Help and Support from : Prof. Dr. Joern Knoll (GSI Summer Student Program), Dr. Haik Simon (GSI) and Sascha Vogel (HGS-HIRe)
