Description

The future international accelerator Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) in Darmstadt, Germany, is one of the largest research programs worldwide. This research will provide insights into the structure of matter and the evolution of the universe from the Big Bang to the present. The FAIR research is mainly subdivided into four major experiments: NUSTAR, CBM, PANDA and APPA.

Guwahati in particular, and the North East India in general, host a number of universities and research institutes where advance researches in Nuclear and Particle Physics, Astrophysics, Atomic Physics, Material Science, Plasma Physics, Bio Physics etc. are carried out. This meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to researchers of this region to know about the FAIR facilities and explore the possibility of future collaboration with GSI-FAIR, Germany.
