Topics

All topics that are within the scope of the workshop shall be discussed:

  • Heavy element studies performed at recoil separators on
    • Nuclear reactions
    • Nuclear structure
    • Atomic structure
    • Chemical properties
  • Technical aspects of recoil separators including
    • Targets
    • Separation techniques (in-flight and post-separation)
    • Detection
    • Data acquisition and processing
  • Experimental contributions are welcome, as are theoretical contributions supporting the experimental program

Venue & Participation

The workshop will be held in presence at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung, Darmstadt.
It takes place in the lecture hall of the KBW office building (KBW 1.17).

Important Dates

  • Start of Registration: January 09, 2026
  • Deadline for registration: April 30, 2026
  • Start of submission of abstracts: January 05, 2026
  • Deadline for submission of abstracts: February 16, 2026
  • A preliminary program will be available around the end of March 2026
  • The Participants of the workshop have the opportunity to attend a joint dinner on May 20.
    This can be noted in the registration form.
    Please note that the dinner is at your own cost!

Program

The program will include oral presentations and will have invited contributions and a limited number of contributed talks.

The official language is English.

Contributions

All authors are asked to submit a short abstract by February 16, 2026.
Send the abstract (a few sentences up to max. one page including the title, author(s), affiliation(s), figure(s), table(s) and references) as MS Word or Open Office document as well as a pdf-file to ensure correct character encoding, to tasca@gsi.de.

The official language is English.

It is planned to make copies of all files / transparencies presented during the workshop, and make these available on the workshop website (subject to author's permission).

Authors are requested to provide the organizers with an electronic file before the end of the workshop.

Fee

No fee will be charged for the workshop.

Certificate of Participation

Due to a number of requests in the past years, we would like to point out that no certificates or similar documents can be issued for a virtual participation in the workshop!
