Directions to Speyer
Arrival by Air:
Frankfurt Airport, Germany's busiest airport by passenger traffic, is located 90km from Speyer. The airport has two separate train stations for both regional and long-distance travel.
Using the long-distance station (Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf) a fast connection (with one transfer) to Speyer exists:
First using the IntercityExpress (ICE): from Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf to Mannheim Hbf (multiple lines possible, see ticket information below)
Follwed by a regional S-Bahn: from Mannheim Hbf to Speyer Hbf (S3 in direction Germersheim)
Total travel time is approximately one hour. Tickets can be bought in the train station or online in the linked ticket system.

Travel in Speyer:
The main train station "Speyer Hbf" is located in the center of the city. Traveling to the conference venue is possible by taxi, bus or on foot. All listed hotels are within easy walking distance of the conference venue.
By bus: Bus lines 564 and 565 (in direction "Flugzeugwerke") are traveling from the train station to the conference venue (bus stop: Technik-Museum). Tickets can be bought from the bus driver. For more information on the bus network see the operator's ticket information (german language only): VRN
By taxi: Will cost approx. 10€. Driving time will be ~8min.
On foot: 2.3km and will require approx. 30min. See Google Maps
Arrival by Car:
Speyer is located at the Autobahn A61. You should leave the A61 at exit Speyer (exit number 63) and follow the signs and directives to "Technik Museum Speyer" from there.
These will lead you straight to the museum's parking facilities. These are access controlled with a gate and you will have to draw an entry ticket. However exits tickets are free of charge for participants and will be available at the hotel or are to be laid out at the conference.
Be aware that other routes are currently inadvisable due to construction works blocking the bridge over the Rhine river at Speyer.
