From the Barajas Airport of Madrid to the Madrid Train Station “ATOCHA RENFE”:
The best option is a taxi. The taxis have a fix fare of 30 euros and it takes between 15 and 30 minutes to arrive to ATOCHA RENFE station depending on the traffic.
A second and cheaper option is the bus (5 euros). There are three lines from Barajas Airport (any terminal) to ATOCHA RENFE during the days. After 21.00 hs there is only one bus arriving to (and departing from) Plaza Cibeles (Cibeles Square) in Madrid city center. Bus stops information can be found in the airport terminals. Estimated trip duration: 40 minutes.
From ATOCHA RENFE to Ciudad Real:
There are fast trains to Ciudad Real at cheaper rates (AVANT trains) with good frequency during the afternoon and early morning (see below a typical time table). Ciudad Real is the first stop and arrival time is 55 minutes.
