Venue and Accommodation
The conference will take place at Hotel Bad Schachen in Lindau, Germany, from September 9th to 14th 2018. The hotel is located right on the shore of Lake Constance boasting a wonderful view of the lake, but also the panoramic backdrop of the Austrian and Swiss Alps.
Hotel Bad Schachen has 128 rooms available for conference participants. All rooms are with telephone, satellite television, Wi-Fi, safe, refrigerator, desk and hairdryer. All the bathrooms (with the exception of north-facing single rooms) have a shower and a bathtub. The rooms are all non-smoking rooms.
How to get to Lindau
By plane:
Nearest airport is Friedrichshafen FDH (25 km) with several flights per day from the international airports Frankfurt (FRA) and London Gatwick (LGW).
Shuttle buses from Friedrichshafen will be arranged for Sunday, September 9th and Friday, September 14th.
Lindau can also be reached via the airports in Munich (2 hours by car or 2-3 hours by train - booking via Deutsche Bahn) and Zurich (2 hours by car or 2 hours by train - booking via SBB). Please select Munich airport or respectively Zurich airport as departure station and Lindau main station (Lindau Hbf) as destination.
By train:
Lindau main station is on the Lindau island. Regional and Eurocity trains come and go every day. With the RIT Ticket you can travel to Lindau by train for just €79 when you have booked your accommodation in town.
From Lindau main station take the bus lines 1 or 2 to Hauptbahnhof to Anheggerstr. (ZUP) and change to bus line 4 (to Alwind) until the stop „Schachener Hof“.
