Beschreibung
We are pleased to announce the HRS-Workshop on high-resolution magnetic spectrometers and experiments with them. The workshop shall bring together experts from several continents, who have expertise in design, construction and operation of high-resolution magnetic spectrometers for experiments with stable and radioactive ion beams. The goal is to exchange ideas and launch an informal collaboration, which will a) develop new ideas for an interesting, high-level physics programme with exotic nuclei using high-resolution spectrometers at the various present and future RIB facilities. b) define the technical needs for such experiments and design the spectrometer and detection systems to perform them. c) run experiments in the next 5+ years (and, on the way to that goal, use existing installations and run preparatory experiments, incl. developments, tests, etc.).
