Description
The workshop aims at people who want to actively participate in the development with an emphasis on implementing new detectors into the analysis framework.

We will start with introductory talks on R3BRoot / FairRoot concept and usage of supplementary tools, followed up by practical exercises and tutorials on code development. Exercises will not be academic-style, but the focus will be rather put on real application to R3B analysis.

Requirements for participation:
  • Laptop with Linux or OS X
  • Developer tools installed (cmake, svn, gcc/clang, X11-dev, ...) Alternatively, we will provide a virtual machine image with pre-installed software
  • Knowledge in C++ programming and experience in ROOT development

A dedicated release of R3BRoot will be created prior to the workshop.
