SIGN 2014
International EMMI Workshop onthe Sign Problem in QCD and beyond
18-21 February 2014
GSI, Darmstadt, Germany
Dear Colleague,
This is the first announcement of SIGN 2104, an international EMMI
Workshop on the Sign Problem in QCD and beyond, to be held from Tuesday 18
February to Friday 21 February 2014 at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany. It is the
third meeting in a series that started with -Sign Problems and Complex
Actions- at ECT* in 2009, followed by -SIGN 2012- at the University of
Regensburg.
The goal of this workshop is to bring together scientists working on the
sign problem in QCD at finite density with those working on theories with
a sign problem in other fields, such as non-relativistic systems including
cold atoms and strongly correlated materials. The aim is to provide a
forum to exchange information on numerical approaches as well as on
communicating results for strongly interacting theories.
A list of invited speakers will be made available at a later date.
A poster can be found at: pyweb.swan.ac.uk/~aarts/poster-sign2014.pdf
More details about the workshop, venue, registration and abstract
submission can be found on the website, which will be linked from -
www.gsi.de/emmi/workshops - once it is available. In case that the number
of submitted talks exceeds the time limitation, a poster session will be
organised.
Please share this announcement with any colleagues you think might be
interested. We particularly encourage early career researchers to
participate.
