Workshop Fee:
The conference fee includes the meals and coffee breaks on GSI premises and the participation to the conference dinner. You are responsible for your travel arrangements and lodging in Darmstadt. Please note that registration to the conference will be official once you/your institute has paid the conference fee. Two modes of payment will be offered:
- Per bank transfer. You will receive an invoice after your registration has been processed.
- Onsite per credit card.

Code of conduct:
The Direct Drive and Fast Ignition Workshop 2025 is organized by GSI Darmstadt and, as such, its participants are asked to follow the anti-discrimination guidelines mentioned in this Code of Conduct.
Creating a supportive environment to enable scientific discourse during the workshop is the responsibility of all participants. Participants will avoid any inappropriate actions or statements based on individual characteristics such as age, racial attribution, ethnic or national background, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, political affiliation, ability status, educational background or any other characteristic protected by law.
All participants of the DDFI Workshop 2025 will conduct themselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all participants and free from any form of discrimination, harassment or retaliation. The above named individuals will treat each other with respect and consideration to create a collegial, inclusive and professional environment at any time they meet in the course of the DDFI Workshop 2025.
Visa Formalities:
The DDFI workshop 2025 is organized on the campus of GSI, for which specific access rules exist for people who need a travel visa for travelling to the EU. In particular, a general tourist visa will not be accepted.
- Only a visa issued by German authorities for specifically attending the workshop at GSI will be accepted. A general Schengen Visa for tourism purpose is not enough.
- GSI will issue invitation letters for applying for the visa.
- Please keep in mind that the registration deadline for people travelling with a visa is different from the general attendee registration deadline to allow for processing time.
- Citizens of countries listed as "critical" by the German Federal Ministry of Interior and Community under the § 13 Absatz 1 Nummer 17 SÜG act will require up to 5 weeks for processing the invitation letter.
