Payment (Payment Form)

The payment and registration terms are found below. The  electronic transaction to be used for your payment is secure, and your credit card information is encrypted during the registration process.

 Registration fees

The fees stated in the table include VAT.  In the final payment process the amount of VAT paid will be stated.

 Registration fee SEK 3500 SEK 2500

The fees for conference delegates and PhD students include: Conference proceeding, Morning and afternoon coffee/tea, Welcome reception on June 10th, Guided tour of Skokloster on June 12th and Conference dinner on June 13th at Norrlands Nation. Lunches are not included.
Accompanying persons are welcome to take part in the Welcome reception on June 10th at Uppsala University Main Building; preregistration is required to be able to attend.
If accompanying persons would like to take part in the Guided tour to Skokloster Castle on June 12th and the Conference dinner on June 13th at Norrlands Nation, the cost is then SEK 300 for the Guided tour and SEK 700 for the Conference dinner: preregistration is required to be able to attend these events. The preregistrations should be done at the latest 29th April 2013.

NORDITA can provide a limited number of travel grants for PhD students at Nordic universities. See details under "Lunch lodging and more" (left menu). 
 
Payments must be made in advance for the conference.

Swedish participants
Swedish participants can choose to pay either by credit card or by invoice. If you choose to pay by invoice an administrative fee of SEK 100 will be added. You will then receive your invoice by regular mail. If you would like your invoice to be sent as a pdf attachment by e-mail, please unmark the tick box on the payment page of the registration form.
Participants from outside Sweden
• All payments must be made in SEK (Swedish krona)
• Payment should be made by credit card or by bank transfer
• Upon the choice of payment method "Bank transfer" on the registration form, you will receive an invoice together with your confirmation letter, including bank transfer information such as bank account, IBAN, etc. Confirmation letter and invoice will be sent as pdf attachments by e-mail.
• Please note that we accept the following credit cards: VISA, Master Card and American Express (Our University does not accept VISA Electron or Maestro). The Internet credit card service provider sometimes has trouble with Safari. We recommend the web browser Firefox
• We will not accept any bank charge deductions
• Unfortunately we cannot accept payment by bank cheques or euro cheques

Passport and Visas
Participants are advised to contact the nearest embassy, consulate or travel agency for information about the passport and visa requirements from their country for entry to Sweden. For invitation please contact the conference secretariat.

Insurance
The registration fee does not cover insurance for the participants. The organizers recommend that participants take out insurance in their home country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and necessary insurance to cover accidents, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings during the visit.

Force Majeure
The organizers are not liable for any claims for damages and/or losses if the entire conference has to be cancelled due to a force majeure incident.

The organizers are not liable for damages and/or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the conference participants or by any other individuals accompanying them, both during the official activities as well as going to/from the conference. Participants are responsible for their own safety and belongings. 

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation of Registration
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Akademikonferens, the conference secretariat. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until 29th April 2013, up to which date the total amount will be refunded minus SEK 750 for cancellation fee. We regret that no refunds or reductions of fees will be accepted for cancellations made after this datum, nor for no-shows for any reasons.

Change of Name
Should you be unable to attend, you will be given the opportunity to send a colleague in your place. Please contact the conference secretariat as soon as possible. An administration fee of SEK 250 will be charged.
