Description

Measurements in nuclear and neutron decays offer a window to determine specific fundamental couplings, like the Vud matrix element of the CKM matrix, and to perform sensitive tests of discrete symmetries. This talk will focus on two topics of precision measurements in beta decay. The first concerns recent results from pure Fermi transitions as well as recent developments from nuclear mirror transitions for the determination of Vud. The second describes the final results obtained in the measurement the T-odd, P-odd triple correlation term driven by the R-coefficient in neutron decay, which has been determined for the first time.
