Description
HIT uses MWPC/IC-combinations and scintillating screens designed, manufactured and tested at GSI. These detectors are necessary for the daily operation of the HIT accelerator to ensure the quality of the beam. A daily QA check with a substantial random sample of beam parameters at different locations in the High Energy Beam Transport Line area secures a reliable basis for the irradiation of patients at HIT, which started two years ago now. The talk will give an overview on the detectors, their parameters and their usage in daily procedures
