In November 2016, we performed the SAMURAI27 experiment. The aim is to search for unbound excited states of 31Ne, a deformed p-wave halo nuclei in the "island of inversion."
So far its deformation properties have not been experimentally studied with direct methods.

Production cross section of neutron-rich nuclei has been measured with a deuterium operation of the MINOS setup at the SAMURAI. Secondary beams, consisting mainly of 58Ti, 57Sc, 51K, were irradiated on the liquid deuterium target and their fragments were identified with the SAMURAI spectrometer.
