HEPTrepreneurs is the online series of events organised by HEPTech and GSI in collaboration with CERN dedicated to all members and partners of the network. The series focusses of High Energy Physics Entrepreneurship and covers various themes. The inspirational and interactive talks, round tables and keynotes are made for all those interested in entrepreneurship, but also for young people who want to know more about alternatives careers to research and for technology transfer officers looking for people to inspire. The meetings will include a presentation, a Q&A session and offers possibilities for networking.

Title: CERN Centure Connect

Speaker: Linn Kretzschmar, CERN

About the speaker:

Linn joined the Knowledge Transfer team at CERN in 2022 as a knowledge transfer officer, responsible for transferring CERN technologies into Industry with focus on environmental applications. Since May 2024, Linn has been responsible for CERN’s entrepreneurship activities and is coordinating the CERN Venture Connect program. Before joining CERN, Linn was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie researcher and lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where she coordinated technology valorisation projects in collaboration with CERN, other research institutes and industrial partners. Among others, she was responsible for carrying out valorisation assessments for CERN technologies for the Future Circular Collider study.

Linn's career includes roles as an innovation consultant and in business development, where she developed her expertise in technology and innovation management alongside entrepreneurship. She holds a Master of Science in international management from Copenhagen Business School.
