      I'd like to talk a bit about the (not so) small linker infrastructure that is involved in running most C++ programs and usually just works, but can lead into surprising rabbitholes when it doesn't and also offers some less known features.

      • Linker fundamentals
      • Common problems and tools to investigate them (ldd, LD_DEBUG, objdump, patchelf, ...)
      • alternative linker implementations
      • advanced features: architecture dependent linking, gnu indirect functions
