From outside of Germany, we recommend to take a plane to Munich. From Munich you can either rent a car or take a train/bus from Munich main station.
Travel by train: From Munich main station you can take the regional train to "Oberstdorf" and then change to the bus 1 which you have to take to the station "Kleinwalsertal Außerhirschegg". From there on, it is a 10-minute journey by foot to the Darmstaedter Haus.
Travel by Flixbus: Starting this December, the company Flixbus offers a bus connection to Mittelberg which will make a halt in "Hirschegg (Walserhaus)". From this station you have to take the bus 1 and exit at the station "Kleinwalsertal Außerhirschegg". From there on, it is a 10-minute journey by foot to the Darmstaedter Haus.
