Group visiting of the German Bundestag is possible only in groups of 25 persons. The first group will be allowed entry at 5pm. The second group will be allowed entry at 6.30pm. Further information concerning the grouping will be announced on Monday, September 9, 2013.
In order to comply with the German Bundestag requirements, we kindly ask you to take note of the following rules:
- You must bring along a valid identity card or equivalent form of photo identification.
- Avoid bringing metal items into the Bundestag’s buildings, there will be X-rays security checks at the entry.
- Coats, umbrellas, bags, tape recorders, binoculars and similar devices must be handed in at the cloakroom before you go onto the visitors’ gallery for a lecture or to watch a plenary sitting.
- No facilities are available for the storage of suitcases or other luggage.
- Mobile phones must be switched off.
- Peace and order must be maintained in the Bundestag’s buildings. Visitors must show consideration for the work of the Bundestag. Applause and expressions of disapproval are forbidden on the galleries.

The sale of goods (with the exception of goods sold by the tenant businesses) and collections are not permitted. With the exception of guide dogs, animals may not be taken into the buildings of
the German Bundestag. - If tour guides give their permission, photographs may be taken during guided tours provided by the Visitors’ Service in the Reichstag Building and other premises of the German Bundestag and during lectures on the visitors’ gallery; photographs may be taken only for personal and not commercial use. Visitors attending plenary sittings must hand in film and photographic equipment beforehand.
