TRAVEL
In order to reach the city center from Bucharest "Henri Coanda" Airport, you can either order a taxi, take a train or take a bus.
To order a taxi use the yellow machines in the arrival lobby. Take the order ticket with you outside, in front of the terminal, and wait for the taxi with the number on it.
The train station is immediately outside the terminal and a trip to the Bucharest main railway station (Gara de Nord) costs 5 RON (1€) and takes about 25 minutes. Many transportation means are available there, the fastest and easiest being the subway.
ACCOMMODATION
Bus transfer between Bucharest city center and IFIN-HH will be organized daily during the conference. The location of the pick up / drop off point is indicated on the map above with the red star "transport". The closest subway station "IZVOR" is shown with an arrow, on the opposite corner of the Izvor Park relative to the transportation point.
Participants are requested to make their own arrangements for accommodation. The two hotels closest to the pick up / drop off point, shown with red boxes, are Hotel Parliament and Hotel Continental Forum. However, that area of the city has many hotels and other accommodation options, for example in the old town across the Dambovita river.
