Description

Exotic mesons with two heavy quarks can be studied in the Born-Oppenheimer approximation. This is a two step approach, where the treatment of light and heavy degrees of freedom is separated. In the first step potentials for the heavy quarks in the background of light quarks and gluons are computed using lattice QCD. In the second step these potentials are used in the framework of quantum mechanics to predict and investigate exotic bound states and resonances.

In the talk I discuss the theoretical basics and I present selected results for anti-b anti-b light light tetraquarks, for bottomonium resonances and for heavy anti-b b hybrid mesons
