Description
Ten years ago during the Pentecost weekend of 2008, the PHELIX team delivered its first combined laser-ion experiment beam-time in the Z6 target area of GSI, starting a series of successful measurement campaigns of the energy loss of ions in laser-generated plasma.

This year, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of regular operation of the PHELIX laser together with the ion accelerator. Join us to celebrate this event on Tuesday May 22nd 2018 with a special colloquium taking place between 14:00 and 18:00 o’clock and the dinner afterwards.

In the morning (9 am till 12 am) the PHELIX team will give tours in the PHELIX building.

Invited Speakers:
Gary Grim, LLNL USA
Patrick Audebert, LULI France
Patrick Renaudin, CEA France
Paul McKenna, University of Strathclyde
Knut Michel, Trumpf Scientific
Markus Roth, TU Darmstadt
