Radiation research at Hevesy lab and why we are interested in

The aim of my talk is to give an idea of our research focus at the recently established radio-biology lab which is part of Hevesy Laboratory at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Our research interest spans from low-dose/low-dose rate effects to calculating the local energy deposition at the subcellular level for low energy electrons. Our main research focus lies however in the investigation of possible application of Auger-electron emitters for internal radiation therapy. I will present an idea to combine internal radio-therapy using Auger-electron emitters with ablation techniques such as cryotherapy and irreversible electroporation. In addition I will provide an overview of the radiation facilities at DTU at Risø to discuss possible future collaborations.
