Study of the EoS dependence of directed flow within a hadronic transport model

Description
We study beam energy dependence of directed flow v1 within a hadronic transport model JAM which includes nuclear mean-field, formation of nuclear cluster and its statistical decay. This approach predicts positive slope of proton v1 at 11 and 19.6GeV which is inconsistent with the STAR data. In order to understand the implication of the data, we study the effects of the softening of the EoS by introducing the EoS modified two-body collision. We will discuss possible mechanisms how directed flows are dynamically generated.
