Beschreibung

In this talk I will present an overview of the Vulcan 20-20 Project¹; an ambitious upgrade to the Vulcan facility at the Central Laser Facility, UK.

This facility is being designed to deliver a brand new 20PW beam alongside long pulse capability that will deliver total energies of up to 20kJ. Alongside these capabilities, the facility will also include the 1PW VOPPEL laser and a 100TW beam from the previous Vulcan facility. The new facility will also include two target areas, to accommodate these high-intensity experiments in an extended building. I will take you through our plans for the delivery of these exciting new capabilities.
