We are pleased to announce that this year’s Annual Workshop on Ion and Particle Beams will take place from Monday, September 22nd to Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, at GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany.
Talks and posters will address current activities by the German community using positrons and ion beams (from eV up to GeV) for analysis, material modification and fabrication of nanostructures. Updates on research and instrumentation at large scale facilities supported by the “Verbundforschung” will be discussed.
Abstract submission will be open from June 15 to August 15, 2025.
Please, register as soon as possible. Deadline for registration August 15, 2025.
The workshop will begin at midday on Monday with a lunch get-together and conclude by midday on Wednesday. In the afternoon following the workshop, interested participants will have the opportunity to join a guided tour to the construction site of the FAIR facility (preregistration is mandatory).
The official language of the workshop is English. We strongly encourage early-career scientists, including Master’s students and PhD candidates, to present their research and/or innovative technical developments.
There is no conference fee.
