Type: On site Training School

Title: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship - how science can impact society!

We are pleased to announce the first HEPTrepreneurs Training School on the GSI/FAIR campus. In a 2 days workshop from 29.11.-01.12.2023, you will learn

  • crucial entrepreneurship skills,
  • discover how you can make a significant impact on society with your ideas,
  • connect with other start-up enthusiasts       and
  • you can expect inspiring talks, instructive workshops and social networking evenings.

A unique chance to meet with experienced successful professionals willing to share their challenges and stories. For more details, check out our provisional timetable below.

Speakers Ian Tracey and Viola Hay will guide you through the programme alongside many other speakers:

Ian Tracey is CEO of Anchored In. He has over twelve years' experience in helping leaders working in research and technology-intensive environments to realise their potential, build their teams, turn their ideas into businesses and win investment. He has worked with SEMs and organisations such as STFC, CERN, Innovate UK, the Knowledge Transfer Network and Innovate UK Edge.

Viola Hay is the Director of International Programmes at Anchored In and has extensive experience of European programmes and funding schemes (from FP7, ERDF, H2020 to Horizon Europe). Viola advises UK applicants wishing to access Horizon Europe funding and helps them to identify potential consortium partners. Viola has herself been involved in the management and implementation of numerous EU projects as work package and task leader.

Background:

HEPTrepreneurs is an event series addressed to all members and partners of the HEPTech network who are interested in entrepreneurship. The series focusses of High Energy Physics Entrepreneurship and covers various themes in different event formats like inspirational and interactive talks, round tables and keynotes.
