Image processing software ImageD and its applications in biophysics at GSI

ImageD is an in house developed image processing software. Image processing workflows can be set up and edited dynamically during runtime for rapid prototyping. From a users perspective, ImageD works based on graphical user interfaces, what makes it easy to use.
There are more then ten ImageD plug-ins running in the biophysics department at GSI. All plug-ins are designed to solve one specific task including data management, image processing, statistics and data visualization.
The basic concepts of ImageD and a selection of the plug-ins are shown.
