NAPMIX Training Workshop 2026 – Metadata, RDM & FAIR IntegrationHYBRID
Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Campus de Cantoblanco Madrid, Spain

The NAPMIX (Nuclear, Astro, and Particle Metadata Integration for eXperiments) Training Workshop 2026 will take place at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), hosted by the CNA–CMAM collaboration. The workshop is organised within the framework of the OSCARS-funded NAPMIX project and aims to present the current technical implementation of the NAPMIX metadata schema and its integration into Research Data Management (RDM) workflows across participating Research Infrastructures.
The event will introduce the NAPMIX data model, frontend platform, and metadata enrichment strategies, highlighting how they support FAIR principles and interoperability with existing infrastructures such as PUNCH4NFDI and other domain-specific systems. It will also provide practical insights into how different laboratories organise RDM and how NAPMIX complements existing data management landscapes.
The programme is structured as a two-day hybrid event. The first day is primarily dedicated to technical and administrative aspects, including system architecture, deployment, API integration, and practical considerations for operating and maintaining NAPMIX within local infrastructures. The second day is oriented towards a broader scientific audience, featuring invited talks in the morning on FAIR data, Data Management Plans, and RDM practices, followed by a hands-on session in the afternoon where participants can explore the platform and provide feedback.
The workshop serves both as a dissemination activity and as an opportunity to collect feedback from the community in order to further optimise the NAPMIX platform and metadata workflows in the next development phase.
