The next THRILL Summer School will take place from 7th to 13th June 2026 at the Darmstädter Haus in Hirschegg, Austria. The focus of the school will be on Applications of High Energy / High Power Lasers. Lectures and hands-on sessions on the following topics will be included:
- Warm-dense matter research, magnetic field generation, dynamic compression of materials
- Secondary sources of particles and radiation for medical applications and high-field QED
- Inertial Fusion Energy
- Nuclear Photonics
- Laboratory Astrophysics
This is the timeline for registration:
- 2nd February 2026: applications open
- 31st March 2026: applications close (extended deadline)
- 15th April 2026: participants will be informed about successful application
For external participants, a participation fee of €500,00 applies.
