Scientific Programme

With CRYRING@ESR, a new facility is soon becoming operational at GSI, which will give an unprecented access to intense beams of highly charged ions at small energies. This has spurred the interest in many fields of fundamental and applied research. The contributions to this workshop thus represent the broadness of the planned experimental program.
  • Atomic structure

  • Atomic collision dynamics

  • At the intersection of atomic and nuclear physics

  • Nuclear physics

  • Materials research

  • Biophysics

  • Instrumentation

  • The CRYRING@ESR machine in the broader picture
