Description

I will review the early development of attophysics that enabled the first proof of the existence of attosecond pulses in 2001, playing a pivotal role in the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2023. Since full waveform control of few-cycle laser pulses is needed to generate isolated attosecond pulses, I will also present some recent developments in carrier-envelope phase stabilization of femtosecond laser systems and the construction of an on-chip phase scanner
