TDR status of the Endcap Disc DIRC, Mustafa Schmidt (JLU) The questions from the ECC concerning the TDR of the Endcap Disc DIRC were addressed. All questions are answerable and were analyzed before. The Giessen group is waiting for new TOFPET version for further measurements in September. Status of the EDD Mechanics, Ilknur Köseoglu (JLU) Ilknur presented an optimized design with more distance from the EDD-electronics to the EMC-insulation. That allows to align HV-LV cables, to implement HV-divider on top of the ROM, and to design a cooling system for the FPGA. Commissioning of the Gießen Cosmic Station, Simon Bodenschatz (JLU) The muon test stand in Giessen consists of two tracking planes and a trigger plate behind an absorber to select muons with high energies and distinct directions. Simon showed plots about the performance of the track selection. He finds also a correlation of the muon yield with the air pressure. Status of the GSI Pollution Setup, Georg Schepers (GSI) Georg showed the status of the setup for long term study of the internal reflection coefficient of the DIRC bars. The goal is to find the influence of pollutants to the reflection coefficient. Possible pollutants are the glue for bar connections (Epotek 301-2), the PEEK-screws/buttons, the carbon fiber laminate of the bar boxes, and the material for the cookies for optical coupling. Lifetime update and Photonis 2150 Part 1, Daniel Miehling (Erlangen) Daniel showed an update of the measurements of MCP-PMTs concerning aging and lifetime. Most MCPs with ALD-coating show 50-100 times longer lifetimes and fulfill the PANDA requirements of 5 C/cm2. A new Photonis-tube #9002108 failed the lifetime test due to a change of the producer of the ALD-coating. The best Photonis tube withstands 24 C/cm2. The Hamamatsu JS0035 reached almost 10 C/cm2. A Photonis tube #9002150 with an altered read-out plane shows less oscillations and ringing compared to an older one. 2150 Part 2, MCP-PMT afterglowing and first DiRICH measurements, Merlin Boehm (Erlangen) Merlin showed measurements of the #9002150 and #9002108 MCP-PMTs in a TRB-setup. The ringing of the #9002108 produces multiple peaks in the time over threshold which is not observed with the #9002150. He observes as a new effect the afterglow in ALD-coated MCP-PMTs which occurs after the light exposure of a tube. Its origin might come form the ALD-coating. First DiRICH measurements are very promising, the investigation is ongoing. Status of the Forward RICH R&D, Sergey Kononov (BINP) First results of the FRICH prototype in a test beam in 2019 with DiRICH/PADIWA/TRB3 readout were shown. Sergey used four aerogel configurations, two of them with focusing. The analysis of the test beam data are still ongoing.
