Beschreibung

Most of the SIS18upgrade program, as defined ten years ago, will be completed in July 2018. The new set-up will provide new possibilities for machine operation and prepares SIS18 for the FAIR booster operation. In order to achieve the FAIR intensities for heavy ions, further technical changes need to be implemented. R&D activities have been launched to prepare the SIS18 upgrade 2.
