Based on its experience in designing electronics for physics application, some years ago CAEN started developing a new family of products, the digitizers, aiming to provide a fully digital replacement of most traditional modules such as Multi and Single-Channel Analyzers, QDCs, TDCs, Discriminators and many others. CAEN has developed a complete family of digitizers that consists of several models differing in sampling frequency, resolution, number of channels, form factor, memory size and other parameters as well as different digital pulse processing algorithm so that the user can extract a set of significant information like energy, precise timing and so on. The workshop will give an overview on the CAEN recent develpments in this field together with some results provided in typical applications like high resolution spectroscopy and high precision timing measurements.
