Description
The Symposium is intended to review our current knowledge on the physics of dense baryonic matter and to discuss the future perspectives in this field of research. The main goal is to provide guidance for future experimental programs at the planned FAIR facility at GSI-Darmstadt and give direction to further theoretical developments. Topics to be covered include:
  • QCD at high baryon densities
  • Onset of deconfinement
  • Critical point of the QCD phase diagram
  • Chiral symmetry restoration and in-medium properties of hadrons
  • Equation of state at high densities
  • Neutron stars
The symposium is embedded in the 8th CBM Collaboration Meeting.
