 Dr. Franz X. Kärtner\, Cycle GmbH\nAbout the speaker:\nProf. Dr. Franz X.
  Kärtner is Professor of Physics at Universität Hamburg and Head of the 
 Ultrafast Optics and X-rays Group at DESY. He is also the co-founder and M
 anaging Director of Cycle GmbH\, a deep-tech spin-off commercializing prec
 ision timing and frequency distribution technologies for research infrastr
 uctures and industry. Combining decades of experience in cutting-edge phot
 onics research with entrepreneurship\, he has successfully translated scie
 ntific innovation into commercial products. He has been recognized with se
 veral awards\, including the IEEE Laser Instrumentation Award and the UNIP
