DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Michael Bussmann (Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden - Rossen
dorf)\n\nLaser plasma physics applications rely on the exploitation of hig
hly nonlinear processes that demand a high degree of experimental control
and detailed systems knowledge. With the advent of experimental facilities
that can give atomic-scale insight into laser plasma physics the time has
come to close the loop between multi-scale\, multi-physics modeling of la
ser plasma interaction from first principles\, high fidelity measurements
and precision control of the laser matter interaction in experiments. Digi
tal methods will play a decisive role in closing this loop. In my talk I w
ill present the building blocks necessary to achieve full coupling between
experiment and simulation\, give insight into the role of data in this pr
ocess and compare where we are today and where we need to go.\n \n \n\nh
