DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Urs Wenger (University of Bern)\n\nIn the comparison
  of the muon anomalous magnetic moment between the experimental measuremen
 ts and the Standard Model (SM) prediction\, the hadronic contributions fro
 m the strong interactions continue to be responsible for the bulk of the u
 ncertainty. Lattice-QCD calculations provide a systematic way to calculate
  these contributions nonperturbatively and from first principles. In this 
 talk I will discuss the efforts of the lattice community in this direction
  over the last few years and how they lead to a reduction of the uncertain
 ty. Finally\, I will review the comparison between experiment and theory a
 fter the very recent updates of both the SM and experimental results.\n\nh
