Exclusive Hadro- and Photoproduction of Mesons for Hadron Spectroscopy

In this talk, I’ll present the goals, methodology and challenges in hadron spectroscopy. 
I’ll review some of the results obtained by the COMPASS, CLAS and GlueX experiments in collaboration with JPAC. 
Finally I’ll discuss potentially interesting reactions that could be measured with the HADES detector.
