Beschreibung
The goal of this workshop is to provide an overview of the analysis of recent Land/R3B experiments to all members of the collaborations.
We strongly encourage all new students to participate in this workshop, ideally with an oral contribution.
Topics:
- basics and usage of the analysis framework land02
- experiment-related issues like calibration of the various subsystems in use
- event reconstruction / tracking
- topics related to the physics cases
- theory involved

An investigation into quasifree scattering of neutron-rich carbon and nitrogen nuclei around N=14¶Sprecher: Frau Paloma Diaz (Student)

Studying neutron-rich nuclei beyond the dripline¶One of the objectives of the s393 experiment is to study unbound nuclei on the neutron-rich side of the nuclei chart surviving a (p,2p) knockout reaction. After the quasi-free scattering in the target, the unbound nuclei lose one neutron which will reach the Large Area Neutron Detector, LAND, the remaining isotope bent by ALADIN is selected in the fragment detector branch (GFI-TFW). Together this allows for a reconstruction of the invariant mass. Further, it's possible to use the gamma detector (Crystall Ball) to do gamma-coincidence measurement. The analysis is in a very preliminary state, I will present the available statistics from the S393 experiment for different nuclei beyond the dripline. I will report on the current situation and future expectations.Sprecher: Herr Guillermo Ribeiro (CSIC-IEM)

Command-line simulations¶Modern-day back-of-the-envelope calculations - simple simulations - will be presented. The power of the command-line interface to 'geom', which can be used to drive ATIMA, will be shown. Also some early uses of a simple command-line interface to geant3(4).Sprecher: Herr Hakan Johansson (Fundamental Physics, Chalmers)
