DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Arnaud Le Fevre (GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerion
enforschung GmbH(GSI))\, Yvonne Leifels (GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schweri
onenforschung GmbH(GSI))\n\n\n\nThe event is organized and supported by th
e GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy-Ion Research GmbH of Darmstadt\, German
 y. \n\nThe last (in-person) meeting has taken place in 2022 in Catania
(Italy). \n\nThe scientific sessions will be held in the Main Lecture Hal
l of the GSI Campus (SB Building).\n\nThe symposium will address experimen
tal and theoretical investigations of the equation-of-state of asymmetric
nuclear matter. Such investigations include efforts in nuclear structure\,
nuclear reactions and heavy-ion collisions\, as well as in astrophysical
observations of compact stars and associated phenomena (neutron stars and
core collapse supernovae\, among others). Significant implications of grav
itational wave signals\, soft X-rays\, astro-particle physics and neutrino
observations will be discussed.\n\nStudents and postdocs are especially e
ncouraged to participate and contribute to the scientific sessions of the
symposium.\n\nRegistration is already open and will close on August 31\,
2023.\n\nThe last day of the meeting\, September 22\, will be devoted to a
satellite workshop on transport models\, organized by the TMEP (Transport
Model Evaluation Project) collaboration\, in the tradition of previously
organized NuSym editions. \n\nFurther details about this satellite meetin
g will be available on a dedicated section of this web site.\n\nTopics of
the NuSym conference:\n\n\n	Nuclear equation-of-state (EoS) and symmetry e
nergy in laboratory experiments\, in astrophysical observations\, and mic
 roscopic theories.\n	Nuclear structure and direct reactions.\n	Heavy-ion c
ollision experiments.\n	Transport model simulations of heavy-ion reactions
.\n	Microscopic calculations of neutron-rich\, dense nuclear matter.\n	Iso
spin dependence of nuclear effective interactions.\n	Clustering in isospin
 -asymmetric nuclear systems.\n	Astrophysical\, multi-messenger observation
s.\n	Theory of compact stars and neutron star mergers.\n	Supernova theory
for neutrino emission and nucleosynthesis.\n	Investigations at existing a
nd future accelerator facilities.\n	Detector developments.\n\n\nThe scient
ific sessions will consist of invited talks and contributed presentations
among the submitted abstracts. \n\nImportant dates\nAbstract submission d
