Description: A talk about some examples of deep technology based startups that have commercialised and launched. The talk will cover examples of the common issues faced by researchers with ideas and the challenge on what to do next.
Ash joined CERN’s Knowledge Transfer Group in August 2019 as Entrepreneurship Development Officer, with responsibility for managing the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) network and foster a culture of entrepreneurship at CERN. Prior to joining CERN, Ash held roles in Business development and commercialization at universities in the USA and Australia, and with Honeywell in India. Ash holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Entrepreneurship from University of South Florida, USA.

HEPTrepreneurs is a series of events organised by HEPTech in collaboration with GSI and supported by CERN. It’s dedicated to all members and partners of the network.
The series focusses of High Energy Physics Entrepreneurship and covers various themes. The inspirational and interactive meetings are made for all those interested in entrepreneurship, but also for young people who want to know more about alternatives careers to research and for technology transfer officers looking for people to inspire.
The meetings will include a presentation, a Q&A session and a networking event, are all by registration and they will be held online.
