Beschreibung

The Laboratory for Laser Energetics is building a novel laser system aiming to deliver high-energy broadband spectrally incoherent pulses in the UV to study the mitigation of laser-plasma instabilities with the 60-beam Omega laser. FLUX relies on parametric amplification in a collinear geometry and a novel broadband sum-frequency-generation scheme. Various analytical studies and proof-of-concept experiments will be presented.
