Description
Holographic methods allow to calculate observables at high densities in strongly coupled quantum field theories. We apply effective theories such as hydrodynamics, together with holographic calculations. This approach leads to either effective quantitative results, or qualitative results, which can be observed in experiments. After a brief introduction to holography, we are going to discuss results obtained for observables in states of high density. Such observables are, for example, correlation functions, pressures, energy density, charge densities, currents, and transport coefficients.
