EURORIB'15 - European Radioactive Ion Beam Conference 2015

The fourth international EURORIB conference "EURORIB'15" will be held from June 7 to June 12, 2015 at Hohenroda (Hessen), Germany.

The nuclear physics community is eagerly awaiting the completion of the next generation Radioactive Ion Beam (RIB) facilities in Europe: HIE-ISOLDE@CERN, NUSTAR@FAIR, SPES@LNL, SPIRAL2@GANIL, and the future EURISOL. The collaborations built around these facilities are exploring new experimental and theoretical ideas that will advance the understanding of nuclear structure and reactions as well as nuclear astrophysics through studies of exotic nuclei. This might trigger new applications of nuclear physics using radioactive ion beams.

Following the spirit of the conferences held in Giens (2008), Lamoura (2010), and Abano Terme/Padova (2012), the EURORIB’15 will provide the opportunity for the different collaborations to come together and present new ideas, and explore the synergies between the research programs based around the different accelerator projects.

The main topics to be discussed at the conference are:
  • Future RIB facilities
  • At and beyond the dripline and new modes of radioactivity
  • Nuclear structure far from stability
  • Heavy and superheavy nuclei
  • Dynamics and Thermodynamics of exotic nuclear systems
  • Reactions with radioactive beams
  • Nuclear astrophysics
  • Fundamental interactions
  • Application of nuclear physics to other fields
  • Production and manipulation of RIB
  • Instrumentation
